Where did the water go?

That's what they are wondering at the swimming pool Aquadrome in Enschede.
During the weekend they noticed the water level wasn't as high as it should have been and levels kept dropping even though they kept adding water to the pool. In the end they stopped trying and closed down.
Two days laters all the water, 600.000 liters is gone and they can't figure out where it went.

They know where it didn't go. It didn't go in the sewage systems, they checked all the pipes and couldn't find a leak and they also checked the crawlspaces under the building and the ground there was dry.

And so it remains a mystery.

Facebook

After much prodding, poking and several invites I am now on Facebook.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do there, but hopefully I will figure it out eventually.

Resistance is.....

...getting harder and harder.There have been selling pepernoten in de supermarket since september, but now there are also chocolate frogs and mice. *sigh* Hopefully I can keep resisting until november.

I did cave for the new Mona pudding of the month. The flavour they picked for this month is....apple-rasin pancake with a siropy sause.
Which I thought was a really strange flavour for pudding and so I bought it.And I have to say, it's not bad even if it doesn't really taste like pancakes.

Maybe there is trend starting for using strange desserts, because there is also stroopwafel icecream (also nice in a weird way)

I wonder what will be next.

Countdown to Utopia

Only one more week to go.
I checked my mailbox this morning and the tickets for Utopia had arrived :)
hopefully I'll remember to bring them to the convention this time and won't leave them at home like I did last year.

I still need to decide on something to wear to the saturday night party though. The theme is prom night.

There are also still 2 empty spaces left on their site.
I wonder if they can get them filled before next week (and who they will fill them with)

The beginning of the end for het Belspel :)

Today on the news, November 1 RTL will stop with het Belspel (stupid phone games) .
And hopeuflly they won't come back ever.
It's going to be great to not have a programm interupted for games such as:
find the 3 differences.
finish this word
guess the picture.
And all the while being encouraged to call in, because nobody has called in so far.
Everybody is obviously outside or at work or doing laundry.
And so you have to call and then all that money will be yours.
So annoying and now ending *does a happy dance*
Hopefully the other commercial networks will follow RTL's exemple.

The Arrival of Hewlett 2.0

It's probably allready been reported everywhere and now here too.

David twittered 30 minutes ago: "Welcome to the world Sebastian Flynn! 9 pounds 4 ounces! Mum and son doing beautifully!"

Lazy weekend.

Yesterday was the 'busy' day of the weekend.
I visited friends, we went bowling (I scored 101 :) ) and we had dinner at the restaurant next door.
I also borrowed one of my friends Harlequin books. It was one we found at the Deventer bookmarket this year.
The title is: Handsome, Rich and arrogant. :) Unfortunately my friend tels me that the title is better then the story, but I"ll read it anyway.

Today I did, basicly nothing, which is bad since there is stuff I should be doing.
Maybe I should make a to do list (and then actually doing the stuff that's on the list)

One of those things would be to by a lottery ticket since the Jackpot is now at 18.4 million Euro.
*grins* the things I could do with that.
